Did some braids instead of twists this past washday ✨ it’s crazy how different my hair looks in braids to me in both photos I probably have about 20-25 individual braids/twists...the braids seem to make my hair more compact, while my twists allow my hair to get juicy/have more volume...anyone else have the same experience? Which do you prefer for your hair? . . . it is harder for me to put these braids into a bun like I usually wear my twists...I think the braids are more stiff/harder to bend. Just like my twists I’ll keep these in for at least a week. Since I’m just studying for the bar exam, these may be in for a bit longer . . . I’ll maintain my braids just how I maintain my twists—if they feel unmoisturized I’ll squeeze some leave in conditioner along the length of the braids then seal with a light oil. Or I’ll spray the braids with a water + conditioner mix then seal with a light oil. AND I’ll make sure to keep my hair wrapped with a satin scarf at night to keep everything laid. . . .
