I bought it after my divorce... 11 years ago. I met my husband 9 years ago this January. I found it this morning, stuffed in the back of my drawer. I was looking for something that fit... things are so big now. When I came home, Bear and I got deep into conversation about everything & 42, and I stopped midway to try this on to illustrate a point to my husband. It fits. What the what?! You know how something sneaks up on you, and you’re like... what in THE Frack just happened. Well. That’s me. Because last year I was trapped in a body that barely moved, and believed that I would never fit that bra or the like again. I used to wear a tight 40DD... that black bra is a 36D. I put it on, and it fit... comfortably. And I was feeling comfortable. So I told my husband to take a picture of me, and I paid him in kisses! It’s awesome being married to a photographer. I paid for my design portfolio in home-cooked meals. Hahahahaha. But seriously. I felt amazing, so I had to preserve the moment. Pics and it DID happen. But you guys get just the bra. Hahaha. And this book! I saw it in a “creative” room when I visiting the job of one of my friends, and I immediately came home and ordered it. I saw it and knew that I had to have it. Yay! Color! My lifeline back to the land of colorful people, lovely people, my people. I may have lost my mantra book... but I still have other things that I can focus on tonight during my practice. This bra represents my way back to my health... (thank you yoga/meditation) and this book represents my creativity/desire blooming again (thank you yoga/meditation)

Oooooh Wheeee! I just found this silky top in my dresser, and as you can see... me and girls are fittin’ just fine. I bought this at Macy’s... gawd, at least ten hrs ago. Thankfully I’m a hoarder, and this is a ‘vintage’ cougar top... and I guess I am that age bracket now. Hahahahaha. Still, I am known for loving some color in my life; and I keeps it classy AF... so I’ll be rocking this hot little number one of these summer nights. And by number, I mean the three of us. Hahahaha. It’s been 11 weeks since he has come into my life. As my grandmother would say, I went through hell and high water to bring him home. But if you ask, I’ll tell ya... I’d do it all over again. I had a stressful few weeks as I was pulling together everything I needed, and what was being asked of me. There were moments of fear that he’d be taken away, or that I might have to think leaving my apartment [which I love]... but I was smart. I hit every avenue, found out what I needed to do, got the paperwork I needed... and thus, ensured that they couldn’t say no. After I had fallen in love at first sight in his foster home. Ha! Nope! Never. No effin’ way. You should have seen the way he just came wobble-running towards us from across the room... aaannnd SKINNY as I don’t know what. He was literally just a couple ounces over two pounds. But feisty, fast... and pretty fearless for being shuffled from mom, to trunks, to closets, to foster care. But here he was... spunky as shit. I picked him and put him on my shoulder... and he started purring against my ear. And I felt it all the way in my heart... and it jumped up and started singing. You have to understand... I was in the process of preparing myself to hit the year landmark of losing my last child... and I was praying to whomever I have been dealing with, that all the work I have been doing this last year would get me through this difficult time. And then, I met this monster... and every single day for the last eleven weeks has been nothing but pure joy, when I am holding him. Yes. Even through the last 11 weeks of ringworm treatment (2 baths a week, strict oral medication) and refusing to confine him to a bathroom for those 11 weeks OR wear gloves when handling him. So we had to into hospital mode cleaning everything 2x week to catch any hairs. It was starting to feel like goddamn Gattaca up in here. But. We’ve already received one negative culture and we are waiting back on our second. Momma’s got this. You don’t know the life I’ve lived to get here. Haha. Ringworm they said. Ha! You don’t know who raised me. I’ve got this, and I’ll do it, because he’s my light, my sun... my monster.

It’s been too wet outside to roll my mat out onto the patio... so I have brought my practice inside for the moment. I think there’s a metaphor here. Hahaha. ✨✨ However, just like last year... I still spend some time out in the garden every day, to center and ground myself. Sometimes it’s just for a few minutes to breathe, and other times I will sit in meditation.
