Funny little gremlin monster Ginny is coming along in leaps and bounds and truly amazes me with her incredible progress in less than a week in my care. Apart from that first morning with her toilet accident, she she’s used the litter tray every time, she’s starting to become playful as you can see. She’s met the resident kitty’s and pooch without issue and she lets me wipe her eyes free of goober a few times a day no problem. She still has some medication to finish that’ll hopefully help with her sounding a bit less like a snot goblin, but that’s also part of the Persian bred charm with their squished faces. I’m such a proud foster mama with how far she’s come, go Ginny!

So I have no kittens, yep zero and no pregnant cats, no babies of any kind and no idea when I may have some needing care. It’s really odd for the first time in around 3 years I’ve not had any young ones to care for, it’s very very strange and I must admit I’m a little antsy because of it.

Yesterday’s adventure into the Bunyip state Forrest to meet a wonderful woman who Rescues and cares for all type of Australian animals, Joey, possums, wombats, right from when they’re tiny little pinkies through to the time they’re ready to release was a wonderful experience. I had the pleasure of feeding 3 x 12 month old kangaroos all at once with 3 bottles in my hands so I couldn’t take any footage sorry. It was more along the lines of meeting and having a chat to see what I can potentially do in the future and to give her some much needed help around the place, so I’m back there Monday morning for a few hours and will have a chance to see the real tiny babies.

Today I’m going to be picking up an older lady cat with suspected cancer from the pound and take her to one of the vets the rescue uses to get an idea on her health, the poor girl, breaks my heart just as much, if not more so when older kitties find themselves in the pound. And then this afternoon I’m back at the first rescue to bottle feed more roo’s and hopefully a couple of wombats. Busy busy is just the way I like it.
