If humans started washing up on beaches with stomachs full of plastic immediate action would be taken I think we can all be certain of that.

[Reposted from @hybrid_scientist] A lot of people have their own opinions, but global warming is something that will affect/is affecting us all no matter what we believe. You could either let it happen, or you could help in the fight to save our planet from the dangerous path it’s going down.
A sad adaptation to a common problem in the Pacific Ocean.
A plastic bottle found off shore with an entire microscopic universe attached to it, including 2 crabs... a sad state of affairs. What can you do to minimize single use plastic?
.
Refuse single-use plastic: Refuse plastic bags, bottles, cups, cutlery, straws, plates, ... and invest in reusable alternatives. They save tons of waste and money, think of how many plastic bottles you don’t have to throw away when you have a reusable one.
.
Shop plastic-free and in bulk: Shop loose produce without plastic packaging. Go to the farmer’s market or bulk stores and bring your own containers. Refuse to buy unnecessarily packaged foods.
.
Repair & Recycle: Many things can be easily repaired or recycled and don’t always need to be disposed of immediately. Consider borrowing, renting, or buying vintage or second-hand when you need something.
Where do you try to save plastic in your everyday routine? Where do you struggle?
