Catcalling: expectations vs reality I d be minding my own business going to the store or something and i get talked at (because they never really talk TO you) by some guy about how good those shorts look on me or if they can have my name... I genuinely wonder: what do catcallers even expect?! For me to be happy i caught their eye? To be flattered by their sleazy remarks and owe them a smile or a hookup in exchange for it?:s This is how they d probably “expect” us to reply versus the actual reaction >__< Honestly i think they know we won’t like it and thrive off of making others uncomfortable/overstepping boundaries make them feel strong. They feed off of our fear for our safety. Cat calling in itself might be thrilling enough for them but some people are actually willing to act on it and harm the person... so always be careful. It s messed up that it s all mindgames for them to feel feared and powerful:/ Side note: my tablet (wacom cintiq companion 2) has stopped working (these models are known for problems with the chords ;-; ) so i probably will be posting traditional art, wips and old comics (like this one) for a few days but will still be opening conversations about things that interest me like with this one.
