One question I get asked a lot is: "Who takes your pictures? How do you take pictures without a crowd around?" ... I do a lot of solo travels, so the struggle to take photo souvenirs of myself is definitely real! When I travel alone, I definitely make the effort to carry a tripod around. I use a mix of the (1) in-camera self-timer, (2) a remote shutter clicker and my (3) camera's remote control/viewing app. Lately, I've also been using this niftly gadget called ARSENAL.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How to take photos without other people around? Sometimes it's just a matter of being creative with the angles... capturing photos from a spot that's not crowded or trying to cover them up with your body. If I'm not too busy before the trip, I try to plan shots I want to take ahead (Instagram's hashtag feed, location feed and save feature is really helpful with this!). I prioritize spots that look really good and visit them during the low-peak hours (use Google search's "Popular times" feature). I’ve spent more time in the ocean over the last two months then I have in the last couple of years. Even in the most remote places, you always seem to see some piece of trash or plastic floating by. After arriving at this lagoon we noticed countless plastic bags and other pieces of waste on the surface. On our swim over to explore a nearby cave we grabbed everything we could find and it was truly heartbreaking how much waste there was in such a small area. #WorldOceanDay
