Being a mom is hard work. Really hard work (but that’s preaching to the choir, right?)!! I love my kiddos, but that doesn’t make caring for them 24/7 any easier. As moms our help and support is in constant always on the clock … but you can’t constantly give when your own cup is running dry. Unless that cup is full of coffee or some wine! Am I right!? Lol . . I’m a big fan of staying in to relax in some comfy pjs and watching some Netflix or Crime documentaries with my husband, but I also have notice that having a regular night for self-care with other moms is much needed although it took me some time to realize this. . . I’m not saying I don’t have a good time with my family, but I did have a life before marriage and kids, with hobbies, pursuits, and dreams. And I see no reason why a mom should ever have to give those things up. Amen. . . I don’t know about you but isn’t hard to remember who we are apart from our status as a mother. What do we like? What are our dreams? Moms often get lost in the noise and busyness of raising families. With that being said, I’m inviting you to come hang out with me and my sweet friend @lindsey_sunshine. Take a deep breath, and come be yourself instead of mom. Let’s talk about life, being a mom, Shampoo, business, whatever just have a good time and meet other likeminded mamas! This Thursday! These two! ❤️ Today is our last day of Hunter’s fall break, and I’m not quite sure I’m ready for him to go back tomorrow! He goes to a school that has a modified year round schedule, so they’ve had the last 2.5 weeks off for fall break. We’ve had lots of outdoor fun, play dates with friends, and slower paced days. It’s truly been wonderful. Don’t get me wrong, there’s been plenty of moments that he’s been annoying his sister that I wish for a brief moment he was back in school , but overall, I’ve been enjoying these silly kids. I’m so grateful for the joy and laughter they bring to our day to day! P.S. They are excited for Halloween! We are dressing up as a family for the first time this year. I’m so excited! Any guesses as to what Cody’s and my costumes will be?! How am I 25 weeks?! Am I the only one who thinks pregnancy flies by? I have about 3 more months to grow my little girl safe and sound in this big ole belly. There’s something so reassuring and calming to feel her kicks and know she’s as protected as she’ll ever be right here. P.S. I haven’t purchased any maternity workout clothes yet, but my cousin @paige0gar did give me these yoga pants that were cut to accommodate the bell and I am feeling it
