I entered by chance in the Church of Santiago that had a very intriguing function in the past.
The Church (Igrexa de San Miguel dos Agros) was built in the place where there was previously another one of the 12th century.
It was in the current neoclassical church from the end of the 18th century that I saw this ceiling with the Eye of Providence.
It was under this ceiling situated in the side chapel (chapel of Sorrows) that the condemned prayed before they were executed on the gallows.
It was there that their bodies were deposited before being exhumed.
An intimidating vision for a "sinner" before death on the gallows...in my opinion.
