So I'm gonna share my journey in my undergrad education. It took me 6 years to graduate from college and I was planned for just 4 years but that obviously didn't happen. I started off as a pre-nursing major, I took my prerequisites at Moorpark College. When I finally transferred to CSUCI I changed my major to Biology. I've always wanted to be a doctor ever since I was a child and I realized why limit yourself and to pursue your dreams but I was in for a surprise. Being in a new environment and away from home definitely made me become more independent and to rely on yourself even more. Luckily I made friends where we could support one another in this most pivotal time in our lives, surviving college and to graduate. Fast forward to my last year of college, it proved to be one of the most challenging events in my life. I really pushed myself, my body, my mind to the extreme. I took 22 units that fall semester where the max is 18. My final semester I took 18 units and keep in mind it's all science classes. During that time I was constantly stressed out, I cried a lot because it was just too much, I even doubted myself, questioning can I really do this, am I smart enough but what saved me was God. I became more prayerful, I relied on him to give me strength and peace, and my relationship with God grew. And a breakthrough came to me and I knew God was not going to abandon me and that he has a great plan for me. I believe my calling is to help the people, especially those who cannot help themselves, that's why I want to be a doctor so I can take care of the sick, the elderly, the children and the poor. I want to make an impact in this cold world, to touch peoples' lives and make a difference. I learned a lot about myself my last year of college and what my body and mind is capable of achieving. Even though it was very challenging and intense, I wouldn't of have it any other way ❤️ All the glory I give to God who continues to bless me!
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Being a first generation American, I am proudly to say I am the first Laigo in my family to graduate from college in the United States! Way up I feel blessed! Psalm 128:2 You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings a prosperity will be yours.
