To holistically cultivate/maximize physical capacities within the spine, the spine needs to be trained in all 3 dimensions.

Developing strength while ignoring movement capacity at the joint level is NOT developing optimal physical capacity.
.
The term physical capacity is multivariate; defined by @drmchivers as: “the ability to tolerate as wide a 1️⃣ range of movement as necessary with an adequate amount of 2️⃣ strength and 3️⃣ control to achieve an outcome.”
.
Thus, to cultivate optimal physical capacity; range of motion (at joint level), strength and control MUST all be developed.
.
FR treatment consisted of alternating between specific active and passive force based inputs to induce optimal tissue adaptations.
.
Unfortunately, I only took before/after pictures of passive range of motion; however: “passive range of motion is the prerequisite to acquire active range of motion” paraphrased from @deweynielsen
.
And Louie’s active to passive gap was nonexistent since we acquired the new range using both progressive and regressive loading angle loading.
