WHEELCHAIR UPDATE
So, I've now had my wheelchair for just over a week. And goodness it's a been a busy one! My main thing I am taking away from this week is how absolutely amazing it has been for pain and fatigue prevention/management. I never ever thought having a wheelchair would help me physically so much, honestly I'm amazed. This week alone it has allowed me too; Take part in a big work event with lots of standing. Taking the chair meant I was able to not only manage the whole day but I was able to do my job better because I wasn't in as much horrendous pain or didn't feel as faint and dizzy Go to harry potter studios the day after I'd had a serious crash due to picking up a cold. Without the chair it would have been an absolute no go but because I used a wheelchair I was able to get out and have an amazing evening at the Harry potter studios
Spend an entire day in London today with my best friends. I'm so lucky I have friends who are happy to push me around. It meant I was able to be out for 7 hours today! Something that's not usually possible! And I'm home now without having a serious flare up or crash!
Honestly I didn't think getting the chair would be this beneficial to not only my physical but also my mental health because it's allowed me to be out the house and enjoying life! ☀️ .

The mind can get sick, just like any organ or body part. There is nothing to be ashamed of. The majority of people, whether they know or not, will suffer with some sort of mental health issue at one point or another during their lifetime.

We all contain younger selves. Usually the more trauma or attachment disruption that occurred in childhood and early adulthood, the more younger parts.
We learn we have to fragment ourselves to be safe. We can’t be the traumatized kid and the good student. Kids are so resilient, they put that part of themselves away to try and thrive.
When we are triggered, sometimes it’s one of those parts whose triggered. This is another reason we have so many different survival responses too! That fight part may be the rebellious teenager. That submit part may be a little kid looking for love and willing to give in to get it.
When we are triggered, it can be helpful to ask ourselves or have someone safe ask how old we feel. It can help us understand why we are reacting the way we are and whose showing up. It can help us know what part of ourselves to take care of.
