I’m a recovering people pleaser myself so I know how hard this can be. I have practiced saying “no” without over-explaining. I will also stop myself in the stream of guilt-ridden thoughts and remind myself that I deserve to have boundaries. I’m worthy of showing myself respect. My son deserves a mother that’s able to say “no” and mean it.

I only did my makeup to take pics for the IG, i feel normal-people sick and needed to do something to feel accomplished. ♀️ i actually loved this look so much that this might be my new daily go-to, since uni starts up again in a week. I used the #morphe jaclyn hill palette on my eyes, #maybelline pencil liner in my waterline and matte ink pencil on my lips, #benefit brows, #toofaced BTS mascara, #covergirl vitalist foundation WHICH IS DISCONTINUED AND BREAKS MY HEART, #tf sweet tea bronzer, #urbandecay fetish blush, and a myriad of #becca powder highlighters. Did you know visualization lights up the same pathway as actually doing whatever it is you want to accomplish? And you know what they say, practice makes p...rogress. Use that imagination to your advantage on your food peace adventure but make sure you’re coming out on top in the end.
This is why it’s important for athletes to practice their sport and also visualize making the shot, sticking the landing or whatever they want to do well. They’ll be more likely to follow through in the future.
Visualize eating a meal, enjoying the taste, the company, the experience and being able to move on with your day without guilt or compensatory behaviors. This can help rewire the brain to build more positive experiences with food.
It’s hard to stop feeling guilty just because we say so but it can help to pair eating with positive experiences - visualization is a great tool.
For the record, donuts taste so much better without guilt or shame. This cotton candy crunch was my fave. Then probably pink lemonade.

When I get anxious or overwhelmed I need to shift my focus on something positive. For me that is to say reassuring quotes to myself. #anxietyproblems
This reminds me of the past times of struggle and how I was able to overcome those and gives me strength to believe back in myself.
