Spring in all its glory using hawthorn branches, branches with catkins, incredible British grown tulips (thanks to Lovely Bella @westendflowerfarm for letting me have them with the bulbs in tact!) and a riot of spring fritillaries, scented narcissi, ranunculus and double hellebores. This gorgeous spring table was for a very special dinner at Cowdray House with the super team there and the lovely team at @moriartyevents. Fabulous food and hospitality by @jacarandacatering and their fab team @mooreminty @phernlatta and Nigel. Gorgeous battery lamps by @genielamps (thanks Tim!) Last night’s magical autumnal dinner at fabulous Cowdray House @cowdrayestate with the wonderful @caperandberry hosting. The flowers were a celebration of a seasonal moment in time with wonderful British chrysanthemums fresh from the field, rambling rose hips, browning fern, Cowdray House cortedaria and a sprinkling of teasels and other seed heads. A glorious combination of what is really in season here. This was a dinner I actually attended (half hour from floristry apron to dress!) and the food was fabulous as always and the company equally so. There is never a moment to stop when photographing a wedding and it’s not for the faint-hearted. Great shots can happen at any time and you have to be ready to capture them. Beth and Matt’s wedding ceremony had finished in the nearby church in Midhurst, and in their beautiful Daimler Limousine, they rushed back to Cowdray House for their reception. I was close behind in my own car. This photo was actually taken through the windscreen of my car. I had a convoy of guests’ cars behind me and if I hadn’t taken the initiative, I would have missed it! It was one of Beth & Matt’s favourites!

Saturday was such a glorious day for a wedding. Huge congratulations to Joanne and Ian who were married at St Mary’s, Easebourne, Midhurst, followed by their wedding reception in the magnificent Buck Hall of Cowdray House. We made our ever popular tall candelabra with seasonal spring flowers and foliage; made using chicken wire and re-usable moss.
