First of what will be many trips to @gatewaycitybrewery. They haven’t even had their grand opening yet, but they already have 7 great beers on tap. . My absolute favourite being the Lookout IPA version 4 featuring modern German hops. It’s rare to see Huell Melon and Mandarina Bavaria together in an IPA, but it really works. For those who prefer some haze, version 3 is packed with Azacca. They also have an English Dark Mild coming in at 3.4% for a crushable, but complex beer. Today, we’d like to introduce our President, Hopper. Check out our story for the final game we played with the team.... . . We believe he was destined to be a brewer from the minute his parents gave him his name. Hopper not only is President of Grind City Brewing, he is also a soon to be husband, soon to be mini goldendoodle father, and a lover of Memphis BBQ. His dream date includes going to the Commissary & eating potato salad, baked beans, and macaroni & cheese. Then heading to Central BBQ and eating a sausage cheese plate & bologna sandwich THEN ending the night at the Rendezvous with baked beans and rice topped with a slab of ribs. Side note, his favorite dessert is meat.... . . Hopper started home brewing with his dad at the age of 13. (Don’t worry parents, he wasn’t allowed to drink it, just make it.) That’s what sparked his interest in becoming a brewer. He went to Boise State University for one semester and then furthered his education across the pond in pursuit of his dream of opening a brewery. He attended Brew Lab in Sunderland, England where he got a degree in British Brewing Technology.... . . Without Hopper & the influence of his dad, Grind City Brewing Company wouldn’t have ever been born.
