My tiny human ! I'm not going to lie. Motherhood is not easy. At least, not for me. I was always the little baby in my family. I've been pampered and spoiled all my life. When I found out I was going to become a mother, it was so terrifying for me. As much as I was happy, I didn't feel strong enough, wise enough or even capable of loving something so deeply for the rest of my life. I always had this little voice in my head... telling me that I was weak, broken and a failure. This might come as a surprise because most people described me a an outgoing, fun and confident woman. When I went into labour, feeling like every bone in my spine was breaking, that voice came back deeper than ever. I remember apologyzing internally to my unborn son for being so weak... I felt like I was already failing at been a mother. I can't tell you what or how it happened... but something changed inside of me. For the first time of my life, I was thankful for my body, for how strong it was, for not listening to that constant little voice.... for being stronger than all my fears combined together ! Motherhood is not easy, but it's so worth it. My fears are still present, my little voice is still there... but one thing is different. I have him, my little human, my living breathing proof that I am enough, and that loves conquers all ! Did you know Santa Fe is the highest State Capital in the US? When we first moved to Santa Fe, the lovely @geninne warned us that it could snow up until May 15th up here. Turns out, she was right! It’s currently snowing outside, and we still have five days left until her deadline All of this precipitation is great for the area though, and means less fires this summer! . Here’s the way we roll on @TeamForleo… ⠀ ⠀ We pick a date to get together IRL (98% of the time we work remotely). ⠀ ⠀ Our in-person brainstorm sessions include laptops + impromptu dancing + DAMN good food and wine + me pacing around, jumping up and down, laughing, screaming, acting like a fool and getting A L L the wild ideas out of my head ‍♀️. We use our classic prompt, “Wouldn’t it be cool IF…” non-stop. But having someone who listens to your endless talks about your business is ESSENTIAL! Starting your own business can be a lonely road. The first ever b adventure I had was when I just turned 18. Saying I worked hard is an understatement! I was still in university while I set up my first business on the weekends. I wish I had someone to talk to about my crazy days and the decisions I had to make.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Now 11 years later I can't do it without a number of people who support me and my business(es). ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ How about this?⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Let's have business showers for our friends.
