Learning. . Clay is a beautiful thing to teach. It seeps under fingernails and hides in tiny corners of the soul. . Since setting up my studio I’ve wanted to teach, but with such short working days, and a smallish studio I hadn’t really felt ready for opening a regular class. . . This year I took my first baby step into teaching at the wonderful #creativityfestival at @hillviewfarmmoments . It was a beautiful location with a stunning teepee for the venue and I had an absolute ball printing plates and making bud vases with my class there. . Not only was the teaching fun but the wonderful way each participant approached the making and added their own creative stamp has given me floods of inspiration. . Longer form platers are one development that’s rooted from that Worksop, another is using just the smallest pieces of seeds to make a repetitive pattern - that one is officially called the @lobsterandswan technique. I hope she hasn’t patented it! .
