So it’s been a while since I’ve mentioned my collaboration with @lionbrandyarn with their #coboo yarn... because honestly... my first design failed and I felt discouraged Bless my maker friends who were at @themakersretreat and nodded encouragingly when I shared my design idea with the tiny hook and tiny yarn. I know they were thinking “you’re crazy! You’ll be a frail elder by the time you finish...” • • • So this bad boy got put in time out ‍♀️ until another idea came along. Then BAM! You guys I did it! I finished my first garment! I had so much fun testing the Lunar Lace Tunic for @desertblossomcrafts. Rachel is killing the design game and I've wanted to test for her for awhile now! Like with anything new, I learned a lot from making this garment. 1. Meeting gauge is hard and definitely takes practice! 2. Blocking really does make a huge difference and 3. Don't make things with stripes. They have to match up when you seam (duh Ashley) and there are so many ends to weave in! All in all this was a great learning experience and I think I'll be trying my hand at garments again in the future.
