I can’t remember much about those days unless I took a picture & most pictures I was so gone that I don’t remember taking them at all.⁣ .⁣ .⁣ L O O K I N G B A C K: FIRST HALLOWEEN! ⁣ Momma Bear and her two little Cubs was our theme. We didn’t dare venture out, but it was on my mind getting out and about to feel “normal”. I hadn’t adjusted to motherhood completely just yet & being inside with the cold snowing weather made it worse! As they get older my heart aches, but my heart smiles at all the funny moments we share. ⁣ .⁣ LALA is a clown! She loves to goof around & laugh at her brother picking at the grass. She decided to pick some herself after watching him & picked up some grass, showed us & studied it & decided to lick it! (Yes I stepped in). She doesn’t understand No yet & probably wouldnt when she does so she kept at it. Papa’ had to distract LALA w/ a song & dance she is already in love with her Dad like she stares & smiles at him all the time & so it was easy to have her lock in on him to give us these smiles.⁣ .⁣ KY is a focused boy he scans the grass first & proceeds to touch it softly, then he reaches for a tall grass piece, Rips it, studies it & grabs some more! KY loves to touch everything & the letter board was no exclusion! He was so drawn to it we had to distract him with Papa doing a funny dance. “ ’ . .” ~ ⁣ ————————————————————————⁣⁣ In these past few days I have notice my little ⋒’s engaging in their world & CRAWLING BACKWARDS ! They have found these new skills just simply by allowing them to discover their environment, but I never for a minute regret any moment I have taken from them. .⁣ .⁣ ⁣ I enjoy getting down to the twins level, even SHOWING them how to CRAWL, ROLL & EAT...tell me I’m not the only one who does this. ⁣ .⁣ We sit Indian style in a circle & I Grab each of their hands & start SWAYING & SINGING about the chair in the corner of the room‍♀️. Kinda run out of things to sing improv on, but they just love it! I even will SING in public & my voice can BREAK GLASS⁣ .⁣ .⁣ Lately we have been working on our STANDING! Although the twins have some CHUNKY THIGHS! Those LEGS are STRONG! BOTH LALA + KY can hold their stand for a bit, but they can’t help to BOUNCE & RUN in place aka stepping on . Rhythm is an important Skill; it has SO MANY BENEFITS like: boost LANGUAGE SKILLS, MUSICAL DEVELOPMENT, release of OXYTOCIN (bonding hormone) & BRAIN STIM.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ :⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ SINGING to our twins & leaving off a word so they can chime in⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Supporting them to STAND while they kick their feet away (I call this DANCING or stepping on bugs) while we ROCK/ SWAY/ DANCE w/ them to the ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ KY loves to mimic me so I try to sing rhythmic tunes he can reach while patting the mat, his back⁣ or tapping their toys⁣⁣⁣⁣ LALA enjoys smacking on pots or toys that make sounds I show her she studies & we both go at it!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⚠️ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ STUDIES FOUND babies who move rhythmically to music SMILE MORE, easier to SOOTHE & are more willing to EXPLORE their environment than babies who simply listen. I seriously thought today was FRIYAY ‍♀️, but what a special treat looking back at my little Twinklestars ⁣ .⁣ .⁣ ⌛️ : --- ⁣ I had just given birth 4 days ago & discharged from the hospital 2 days prior. I was SO IN LOVE & RECOVERING WELL from my C-SECTION, breastfeeding & kept asking everyone if these were REALLY MY BABIES?!?! We had lots of immediate family in town on both sides & everyone felt the MAGIC that NEWBORNS bring w/ them. I honestly was in a SEA OF LOVE right before the overwhelment kicked in full gear a bit later. What a beautiful moment a MEMORY MY HEART STILL FLUTTERS TO!⁣ .⁣ LALA had the tiniest Cry like her battery was on LOW . She was our CHILL BABY super EASY TO HANDLE & LOVED TO EAT SO MUCH so SHE SOMETIMES CHOKED. She did have a very SCARY REFLUX episode in the hospital & also on her 3rd day home that turned her BLUE in THE FACE.⁣ .⁣ KY still a VERY SENSITIVE BOY had a cry that would Pearce your SOUL! He was VERY COLICKY & had REFLUX, but would CRY over COLD wipes . HE Loved to SNUGGLE & be held TIGHT & CLOSE ALWAYS. ⁣ .⁣ When the TWINS WERE BORN THEY WERE CALMED by being BESIDES each other. The SNUGGLE GAME was REAL & their BOND & FIRST LOVE was EACH OTHER ♥️ as they’re MINE. Still to this day they find comfort in one another’s presence. ⁣ .⁣ I LOVE HAVING MY TWINS & ♥️ knowing HECK YA I SURVIVED THE TWIN NEWBORN STAGE!⁣ where my ! We love nature & visiting DBG made us feel like home! ⁣ .⁣ .⁣ The day was ! The twins love interacting & I have noticed that KY recognizes his friends & will smile & squeal out of excitement as we are approaching them! Even when their chest is so congested I can hear them giggling ,playing & learning through communication. Today we are all feeling better, but this weather has us stuck in the house & that always been more SELF IMPROVEMENT & LEARNING GAMES! Before jumping into that we have a little predicament!!⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣ ❌ISSUE : NOT CRAWLING⁣⁣⁣ The Twins do well with their baby push ups & pivoting, but aren’t crawling without assistance just yet! I am feeling like I’m doing something wrong? Yes, babies are ALL DIFFERENT, but a question that burns within me asks “AM I TOO MUCH OF AN ENGAGING PARENT?!” Am I getting in the way of their natural curiosity & development? I feel I’m always interacting & not really letting them drive their own car..SHOULD I STOP HELPING? Then I feel terrible for thinking of leaving my TWINS TO PLAY ON THEIR OWN..but I did that as a child myself..it grew my imagination, curiosity & made me independent. I also had my siblings to play with..so do the twins so technically I am not leaving them ALONE!⁣⁣⁣ . ⁣⁣⁣ So We set toys around them to grasp & they usually grab them quickly, I may be the one to blame as I always give in to their CRIES for HELP! It’s so HARD!
