Proud of my girl. She spent the day yesterday learning about aperture, shutter speed and ISO. She took what she learned, and one of my cash envelope sets outside to photograph. . She came back in and asked me what I thought. She was open to feedback, and my suggestions. She did not take it personally when I said I didn’t like something. She asked me to show her examples of what angles and views I liked to see for my shop and she went right back out there to try again. Hair curled and brow sweaty with humidity, she finished up, made notes on what we both liked best, declared the work “a lot of fun” and informed me I owed her for 3 hours of work. These two ladies. Some of my first pals when we moved here 6 years ago. We all met at the Sonflower Marketplace Farmer’s Market. Every Saturday of that summer we sold our handmade items, and while I’ve stayed in touch with several of the vendors from that summer, these two have stuck a little closer.
