Car: 2019 Jaguar XE Trim: SV Project 8 MSRP: $188,495+ . *Disclaimer in the comments* . Design: 9/10 Jaguar-Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) literally disassembled a regular Jaguar XE and redesigned every part (except the roof and door panels) to make it a track-focused beast. The hexagon pattern air vents, the wide body kit, the Jaguar logo print on the side and that massive carbon fiber wing all come together to make one badass looking car. Our one tiny gripe is we wish the design was more uniform. . Sportiness: 10/10 (in the next post) . Luxury: 10/10 Because of the track-focused appearance, we weren’t expecting it to offer the luxury Jaguar is known for. We were very much judging a book by its cover because the Project 8 features combinations of leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber all around, ambient lighting with several colors to choose from, the smooth sport suspension we’ve come to know and appreciate, and more. Overall, a very welcoming interior for such an aggressive looking machine. . Tech: 10/10 First of all, the infotainment touchscreen was as fluid as a new smartphone! Hopefully, this is new for all 2019 models. The screen can display information about the Jag, especially the power shifting from RWD to AWD in real time. When in Track Mode, the digital dash cleans itself up and leaves nothing but the tachometer with current speed in the center on a raging red background. With features like these and more, we gotta give it a full 10/10. . Practicality: 9/10 It’s strange to think that although the Project 8 is a track car, it still maintains the practicality of the sedan it’s based on. Despite the track looks and performance, it can comfortably seat 4 people (unless you get the Track Pack, which is, unfortunately, unavailable to the US), shares a similar trunk space with the XE and can get reasonable gas mileage (16city/22hwy). Could it be a daily driver? We would say so. . Value: 9/10 Nürburgring record-holder (7:21.23). Limited to 300 units (75 to the US). An SVO Jaguar. We’d say this is worth the price.
