Can't thank this special lady enough for inviting me to the #ArchAngelSummit I feel recharged and so grateful! I thought I would share a few notes from my experience at the Arch Angel Summit; -Beneath every excuse, lives a fear. -You become your conversations. -We give ourselves what we feel we deserve. I feel empowered, motivated, and privileged. Truly, it was the slap in my face that I was in search of. Growing my business, it's easier to become the victim of set backs, and FEAR. Self awareness is the most important thing I learned today. During the summit, it was like they were speaking directly to me. BELIEVE IN YOU. Deserve the change. True happiness is about being true to your own values, keep learning and keep growing. Take responsibility. Be kind. Motivate. Find DEEP connections. Invest in relationships. Create habits. Respect the process. Recognize your gift The meaning in life is to find YOUR gift, the purpose is to give it away. Life is supposed to be hard, you will feel like giving up but, accept the journey. Be confused, it means YOU ARE GROWING. my2cents on teaching your kids to have a growth mindset. Here's what we do: 1. You have to be an example. If you complain that things are hard and give up instead of showing your kids how to overcome adversity, then they'll end up doing the same thing. - 2. Remind your kids how far they've come. When we hike a mountain and stop halfway up to look how far we have to go, we've already started to fail. Instead, we should look back to the trail we've just come from and remind ourselves how far we've come. Thx @todd_herman for teaching me this distinction - 3. Let your kids do the hard things. ...like pay for their own ice cream even though they're scared or nervous. The world is hard enough; we just have to let them experience it themselves with some guidance. If they want something bad enough (those are the best moments because the motivation is there,), then let them go for it. And if they don't want to order their ice cream, then they won't get their ice-cream. - But I'll tell you, little kids that are motivated for ice-cream will figure it out real quick. Here's a little SECRET to building your network … Co-create lunches or dinners with someone more connected than yourself. You want to be around people who are going to push you to stay motivated, think bigger and give you strategies that are based on wisdom, not just from reading. You NEED a great network to grow, and this is the secret that helped me achieve the level of success I have today. When I travel, I'll co-host a meal with someone from that city. Usually for six people. I take care of all logistics and counter-invites, all I ask is that they invite at least half the people. It's the most valuable thing that I can do when I'm traveling because it's a simple way to expand my network.
