MY PROCESS: Once I’ve created the intro to a program, I then break down the details of my choreo to my skater. I have them do the choreo alongside me so they can gauge which movements go to with each beat of the song. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Once they have it down with the music, I try to get a video of us doing the choreo together so I can evaluate what looks best on the skater. Some moves that I create may look good on me, but they do not necessarily work on everyone else so getting to see a side by side visual of my skater next to me can help with eliminating certain moves. I definitely love getting input from my skaters on what ideas they have as well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Fun Fact: @nottaylorsirset is a lefty so some of the moves that I do she prefers to use her other foot.
