@guaposkateboards @guapo_skateshop We are proud to display lots of innovative decks, trucks and wheels and this @dogtownskate from 1979 fits the bill. The Jim Muir Triplane and Shogo’s Airbeam were the pinnacle of board engineering (we’ve actually regressed in 4 decades) and were created by Boulder Boards who also made Kryptonic’s KBeams. The Triplane was the first production concave and set the stage for everything to follow. Next Z-Roller trucks I’m not sure if they are for some obscure printing process or to increase grinding distance; I must confess I’ve never ridden themmaybe that’s a good Sunday morning ride project. People were pushing the envelope and if you look at trucks, decks and wheels from 1976 to 1980 there’s a ton of variety some good some no so much. Also note the top deck graphic. This is a great riding deck and the reissues rock as riders. Dogtown X Metallica dropping Friday May, 24th at 9am PST in very limited quantities at www.dogtownskateboards.com. The inspiration for this collaboration came from the 1980’s Dogtown and Metallica skateboard shapes and graphics. The board shape and airbrush paint was designed by Jim “Red Dog” Muir and produced by Professor Schmitt at PS STIX. The graphic art was perfectly blended by Sean Cliver. It was then silk screened the old fashioned way by Chicken at Screaming Squeegees.
