Dare I say it? It’s going to warm up outside today! A big change from yesterday’s winter coat & boot weather. Are you ready to bust out the frozen dessert recipes yet? I’ve got one that you’re going to love. Super simple Vanilla Bean Frozen Yogurt with Salted Caramel Drizzle. Now, I know you’re going to want this recipe ASAP and my blog is currently in conversion mode so I’m giving you the whole scoop on here today just in time for the start of season. Happy #friyay !
2 cups Greek yogurt, plain, full fat
1/4 cup organic honey
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean
Salted caramel sauce - recipe on my insta story cuz it wouldn’t fit on here.
Place the yogurt, honey and vanilla in your food processor’s bowl or high speed blender like a vitamix.
Process to incorporate. Scrape the sides of the bowl, then process 1 more minute, until light and fluffy.
Using a spatula, transfer the mixture into a square 8 or 9-inch pan. Cover with plastic wrap, and freeze for 45 minutes.
Remove the pan from the freezer, Use a spatula to stir the already-frozen edges into the still-soft center, then whisk to mix everything together until nice and smooth.
Cover again, and place in the freezer for 2 more hours, repeating the process of whisking the yogurt every 30 minutes. At last 30 minute whisking point , swirl in 3 tablespoons of salted caramel sauce and place back into freezer.
When the entire mixture is frozen, serve as a soft yogurt or freeze 1-2 more hours for a firmer consistency that you can scoop out with an ice cream scoop. Top with additional salted caramel sauce if desired. .
