If I could give advice to anyone in the trenches of infertility, it would be to not give up. Your miracle could be on the other side of the storm you’re currently in. Find yourself a good community of others going through the same journey, whether online or in person. People who have never gone through it, unfortunately will never understand no matter how hard they try. Try to not let well-intentioned people with bad advice or unsolicited suggestions get in your head and take away your focus from your goal of having a baby. These pictures were taken October 2018 right before our fourth embryo transfer. This time would be successful. This time would be different but still infertility has changed me. . Infertility is a brutal journey that I wouldn’t wish on anyone, it is lonely and isolating, but I have come out the other side with a deep understanding of who I am. It taught me how to be patient and accept the things I cannot control. I am capable of handling much more than I ever thought possible. . Infertility leaves a lasting mark on those it affects, even when the outcomes are positive. Infertility taught me how to grieve. It has forced me to make difficult decisions. It taught me how to forgive myself and my body. . As I feel our daughter kick I am hopeful for the future. She was worth it all. I truly would do it all over again, for her. The pain, anger, sadness, loss, frustration, all of it.
