The last month has been so special. Finished the 300 hrs TTC, that makes me a 500 hrs teacher. Sounds like a lot of responsibility. So much more to learn. The end of one thing is the start of something new. Goodbyes with this lot was sad but I'm also happy because some of us have surely made friends for life. The school has been great to us, cared for us so well. And some amazing teachers who have guided us in the direction to be true seekers in this beautiful path of Yoga. So thankful. Forever grateful. Today I feel sad, and no I don’t have a good reason for it. Truthfully I think there is nothing wrong with that. Far to often we try and justify our emotions, but in doing so I think we are not allowing ourselves to be present to the emotion itself. We have this need to put what we feel in a box, and to give it a label, but maybe we can let go and just feel whatever it is we are feeling instead. So today I’m just sad. Morning flows with @yogi_dani_ Day 5 of @authentic_movements #AM500 We have learned so much and we have really only just begun Starting each day here in paradise has been magic. I can feel parts of me that have been closed off for so long starting to crack open. Yesterday during our morning meditation I started to cry......and for the first time ever I didn't try to stop it. I let it all pour out. All the happiness, all the fears, doubts, joy, sorrow....everything just flowing free So much space opened up after that cry....thank you to every single person here who has shared their energy, their stories....their passion on this journey. And the journey begins Hard to believe I got accepted into @authentic_movements #300ytt in January of 2018...and now its here I blinked and the time flew by. And now...here I am. Waiting in TO for my next flight to Chicago and then from there I'll make my way to Costa Rica, reuniting with the beautiful @y.o.g.i_dani_ and meeting in person for the first time the breathtaking @theamelia_b I have no idea who I'll be when I come back in 5 weeks, but I am so excited to meet her. @erinkellyart @casa_colibri we get to see you ladies so soon :) be ready for all the love and laughter!! The roller coaster ride the students take in a #300ytt, they take their teachers on the ride with them. We exchange, we learn from each other, it is an intense journey for each and everyone, both students and teachers. . . Loving life, I am thankful for the opportunities that are coming on my journey, I am thankful for the people around me. Keeping it real, sometimes you need to take a look at all you are, all that is. Sometimes we react, but maybe react with a little more empathy towards the bumps in the road. When we encounter some resistance, that is where growth happens. It is enjoying the steps you take, finding joy in the process...trust that the road you walk is yours and you have the choice where the focus is. With a gentle smile, some deep breaths, and say yes. ✨ We are almost halfway in the training for this group of #300ytt @sampoorna_yoga , beautiful to already see how they work together as a community, each and everyone with their own fears or resistance to conquer, stepping out of their comfort. This morning the students of the #300ytt went for a meditation to a special rock formation overlooking the ocean in Agonda. Joining them felt like the right thing to do at dawn. Sitting down and first closing the eyes and listen to what is...then opening the eyes and looking out over the sea. It is time to stop letting myself be drawn into other people’s stories, they don’t belong to me. . . Quoting a passage from the Bhagavad Gita, a conversation between Krishna and Arjuna: “The looking for peace outside ourselves disturbs the mind even more. You will discover that true happiness comes from a calm mind. And you will never be able to experience this peace, when one is constant occupied with ones desires; but when these come together, like rivers who join into the vastness of the ocean, peace will follow.
