BOULDER SHOULDERS | SUPERSET . / ! ------------------- SAVE & TRY! . In the previous post I talked about what the function is of “the pump” in terms of building muscle mass. In case you missed it, I highly recommend you to check the caption out! ✌ . We could conclude that the “cellular swelling” caused by the pump increases protein synthesis, decreases protein breakdown and forces nutrients into the muscle. All these factors together force your muscles into growth. . However, I do have to say some muscle groups respond better to this style of training than others. During the past few years, I’ve found that especially the shoulders respond extremely well to pump-style training. That’s why every single shoulder workout of mine includes some sort of superset. Sometimes it’s a superset targeting the same delt areau, other times it targets two areas. ------------------- The latter is what’s shown in the video. The clip shows a superset of side lateral raises and front raises. Here’s some more specific information about how I perform the superset: . ▶️Lateral raises: are done seated and unilateral. To maintain balance: grasp side of bench with other hand. ▶️Front raises: are done seated as well and with both arms together. ▶️Both are performed with a 5 kg plate, not with a dumbbell. I feel like this reduces the tension on the forearms. ----------------- Start your shoulder workout with a compound press movement and then give this one a try! 4-6 rounds, 2 times a week and you’re on your way to boulder shoulders . . #luis_lifts #bouldershoulders . .
