UPDATE: foster offer in LA. Rescue needed. Possible extension Noooo! Thurston is on the 48 hour urgent list again, and I feel that this is his absolute final chance. I've posted him 4 times already, and I'm shocked that he has had no interest. He is officially Downey's longest resident. HE NEEDS A FOSTER OFFER. There is a rescue who may consider him with a solid long term foster in SoCal. He is very high energy and social and is good with calm large dogs. He likes to play with toys and jump up for hugs. He loves belly rubs and needs someone who can give him the exercise he needs & who can keep up with this goofball. Please DM me if you can help him. He is also available for adoption. He is a staff favorite! Imagine being greeted like this every time you come home. How is happy Thurston still there?! He is the sweetest wigglebutt at the Downey shelter, and he's been there for over 3 months! I have literally never seen him unhappy. Thurston should be considered urgent, and he needs a family! Last post: What do you notice in all of these videos (yes, I'm a bit smitten with Thurston). It's his non-stop booty dance. I don't think there's a dog who is as happy for a visit as Thurston is. I did notice a slight change today though. He seemed a bit more stressed in his kennel, and I can see it taking a toll on him. He has been on the 48hr list before. He seems to be doing better in playgroups (initial assessment said that he was too alpha). He just seems like a load of fun.
