When I left school I was quickly drawn to nature in a big way, before I knew it I was living in the Blyde River Canyon, one of the most beautiful nature rich places in the world. Slowly I was swallowed by mother nature bit by bit while changing the way I thought and felt and then she spat out my shoes. I felt this intense comfort when my bare feet would touch the ground, few things can make me as happy. When I was in Cape Town last week we went hiking and as it is winter I had my shoes on... but not for long. It’s like my feet get claustorphobic, I cannot stand the discomfort. As soon as my shoes are off I feel relieved, satisfied and happy. I think its mother natures way of cuddling me.
