Acute:Chronic Workload Ratio (ACWR - ie Training-Stress Balance) refers to the current week’s training load in relation to longer term training load. An ACWR of 1.5+ is often viewed as the “magic number” that spikes risk of injury.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☝️ However, due to the muiltifactorial nature of injuries, some people may sustain injury well above or well below 1.5. Factors known as ⚡️ “moderators” act to either ⬆️ or ⬇️ the risk of injury at a given workload. These include:

Snatches for breakfast! ♀️ Despite it being one of my weaker movements, I bloody love snatching! Combined with running, like in today’s workout, and I’m a happy girl. We warmed up with some power snatches and overhead squats before hitting the workout...

I’m really interested the @hinshaw363 #aerobiccapacity work and definitely think the ability to carry out a technical movement while taxed could give you a real edge in performance. I’m even debating doing the CrossFit specialty course on it! Soaking up all the knowledge s... for now though, that workout was TOUGH but so fun.
