AD-I had the idea that Vienna was going to be purely Baroque but there's plenty of Post Modern architecture dotted around the City (thanks to the likes of Hans Hollein & Zaha Hadid) and then there are Hundertwasser's buildings. I don't really know how to describe his style, it's sort of like Gaudi's but it's something different. As I spend my last few days in Vienna before flying back to my 2nd home (England) for a jam packed month of performances, I’m finding myself reflecting on the past 12 months. It’s funny how people often shy away from things out of their comfort zone, and how sometimes we say that things are just too much effort or not worth the hassle. This year has been by FAR the most challenging year of my entire life. The effort required to meet a certain standard of the German language alone was mammoth. I experienced moments where I wasn’t sure if it was all worth it, times where I thought it would just be easier to return to the UK and continue my life as it was before.. but these moments were always outweighed by the feeling of accomplishment that followed all these little bumps in the road. The most challenging year yet but also the most rewarding. ❤️
