Hello friends! I hope your day has been warm and bright. I have been spending my day packing up some pin orders and I am feeling really grateful for all of the support you give me! I’m so happy that I can spend some of my time making stuff I really love, like this weird little bird lady. When I first started my shop I was so nervous that no one would like it and it was too weird. I’m so happy I was wrong and that there is many folklore and myths lovers out there. Later today I am finally curling up with the book «The Tale of Tales» by Giambattista Basile. «Алконост» • пастель, бумага 30х40 В рамках нашего #конькурс_зверомузы Кстати, сегодня последний день приема работ на 3-й раунд, а в понедельник мы объявим победителей ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Алконост в русском фольклоре - райская птица с головой и руками девы. Пение Алконоста настольно прекрасно, что услышавший его, забывает обо всем на свете. Считается птицей Радости. По народным преданиям, на Яблочный Спас эта птица прилетает в яблоневый сад, радуется и смеётся, а роса, которую она смахивает со своих крыльев на яблоки, делает плоды целительными ✨ Я нарисовала не классический образ Алконоста, а свою интерпретацию, лицо вдохновлено фото настоящей девушки, в остальное - моя фантазия:) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Для этой работы я тестировала портретный набор Ван Гог 36 цветов (см фото в карусели). Использовала только его + пастельные карандаши. Что могу сказать? Набор неплохой - для учебных целей, если вы стеснены в финансах, он подойдет. Да, цветов всего 36, да, пастель весьма твёрдая. Но. Палитра достойная, пастель ложится и растушёвывается хорошо, так что ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ И ещё минутка полезной информации. Вот несколько бесплатных ресурсов, думаю, какие-то вам уже знакомы, и все же:) Часть - на английском, но даже если Google переводчик - ваш друг, видео можно понять и без слов. Итак: Анималистика - YouTube канал британского художника Jason Morgan @wildlife_art_jason. Там и видео tutorials, и обзоры всяких пастельных материалов. Плюс у него есть подписка на Patreon. Часто упоминается и изображается вместе с другой райской птицей Сирин. Но в отличие от Сирина, птицы печали, Алконост это птица радости. Посреди зимы несёт яйца в морскую глубину.
