I was a c-section baby and I was formula fed. So right at birth my gut and immune system took a hit. And then over the years, there were times when I took antibiotics, I also went on the pill at 16 (another hit to my gut and immunity) and then, I caught a parasite on vacation in my mid twenties #notfun

Bottom line - my gut health has always been an area of weakness for me and in 2017 I was diagnosed with autoimmune hashimotos. Your immune system lives in your gut, so when it comes to healing autoimmune, the gut is the #1 area to address

You don’t know how excited I get when I go out for a meal and find a cafe who is more than able and willing to make adaptations to fit in with my dietary “challenges”.
We ate at @goodonebondi this morning and this was what I ended up with: kale, broccoli and sweet potatoes from one of their “bowls” (leaving out the other bowl ingredients) and subbing with avocado and house smoked salmon. Absolutely delicious! Thank you for looking after me!

Gummies for gut health? Yes please!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
♀️I LOVE making these for a protein-filled and vitamin-C rich snack. (Plus they’re a ton of fun!)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As opposed to conventional gummies loaded with sugar and crappy ingredients, the superstar in these gummies is grass fed gelatin - full of collagen + amino acids that are helpful in repairing the gut lining!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Recipe:
Heat 1 cup organic strawberries in 1/4 cup water on stovetop until mixture gets warm/hot – not boiling.
Then remove from heat and put in blender; Blend until smooth.
Pour into a small bowl.
Add 2 tbsp gelatin (I use @furtherfood + you can get 10% off with code DIGESTINGWELLNESS10) & whisk.
Add 1 tbsp raw honey & whisk again.
Pour into silicone mold (using a spoon or dropper. If you don't have molds, you can use a mini muffin pan lined with mini liners).
Remove from molds & enjoy!
