Monday thoughts :: I’ve been hearing a lot of slack towards content creators, influencers, and bloggers lately. . As a content creator myself, I’m trying to create a space for you to come see my real life but also pretty photos. I want to introduce you to great products and brands I love. I want to make connections and I want you to feel loved. I want to be genuine, blunt at times and invite you into my life. Feel free to unfollow me. . Everyone is constantly saying “I want real life mom photos that aren’t curated or filtered!” You can make your own unfiltered, and raw photos if that’s what you’re going for. I have a business where I need to respect the companies I work with and create content that is pleasing to THEM. And guess what? I love what I do Now let’s talk about how everyone glorifies how hard mom life is. Can we get over that yet? We all know mom life is hard. We all know there’s no way I wear make up every day, make homemade meals every night, buy fresh flowers every afternoon, enjoy every waking moment with my 3 perfect children, and look put together every day. We all know I don’t live a glamours life (but instead I actually have bars over my windows and hear gun shots every week.) Come on now. Do you want to see photos of me laying on the floor sobbing because I’m stressed out of my mind? Do you want to see stories of me yelling at my kids? Do you really want to see photos of dishes and laundry piled up? No. You don’t. Because we ALL know THAT’S real life and all we have to do is look around at our own house and life to know we’re not alone. Stop complaining about what you see on this app. If you don’t like it, unfollow it. If you like it, support it. Sorry for being so blunt, but y’all are gonna get more of that. Maybe it’s my age, maybe I’m so over the competition, insecurities, and lack of humility on this app, or maybe it’s Maybelline.
