So today the girls are 35 weeks old which is the exact amount of time I carried them in my belly any multiple mumma will know how it feels ticking off each week that the babies are still in your tummy and you haven’t gone into labour yet Luckily for me I managed 35 weeks and am still quite amazed I got that far although I did have a scare at 29 weeks where the hospital gave me the horrid steroid injections for the babies lungs to develop - anyone else had those Omgggggg they are literally the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life I ended up working right up until 34 weeks, had one week off work (which I decided was a good time to spend re-decorating the whole house like a crazy woman ) and then I went into labour. Anywho...Whenever I try to have a stern talk with Aurora about her VERY late arrival that was far beyond “fashionable”, she looks at me with those sweet eyes and I can almost sense her queenly disapproval of my chiding. “Mom,” I can hear her say, “you can’t rush perfection, and look at me, I’m perfect” Yep and then I’m lost in the wonder of baby land and forget why I was grumpy at her in the first place. She’s a snuggly little piece of heaven and we are beyond happy she is finally here with us. • Side note, every single one of my babies has worn this same little pair of jammies Sometimes it pays to not know the gender! Since I never found out with any of my babies I prepped way back in the beginning with a small amount of gender neutral newborn clothes and have since been able to dress each of them in the same few outfits.
