I’m always surprised by how far my fitness has come. I used to struggle through every set of BFBM & dread doing the workout. Welcome to a new week. Started off Monday with an upper body workout & surprised myself by finding my lifting much easier than normal. My shoulder pain seems to be subsiding so I’m looking forward to lifting heavy next week. Followed that up with some cardio & have decided to smash some Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism sessions this week in the lead up to my birthday. I always dread this workout coz I find it tough, exhausting & just out of breath. But my fitness has improved so much that even though my breathing was heavy it wasn’t unmanageable & I was able to do every circuit - even the burpees which I usually skip. Having a proud moment this morning!

It’s very true and with all these plant based Instagram followers that are coming out now saying they are switching to animal products it’s important to address that while eating a vegan diet you have to make sure you are eating the right foods. Too much processed foods, cooked foods and high fats of any food while create an imbalance in your gut . I had ibs, candida and a gluten allergy all because I was living on pasta, beans, rice and soy. And those foods are dehydrating, hard for the body to process and the high amount of protein is too much for our bodies to break down, any extra the body doesn’t use does more damage to your kidneys then anything else. But I don’t blame mother nature’s food for my eating habits I was the one to blame and I took full responsibility. Since then I cut the coffee , only drink hydrating fruit smoothies in the morning to hydrate my body after a long nights rest and since it only take 30 minutes for my body to absorb I don’t mess with adding non milks , protein powders or butters. It’s important to eat fruit alone for quick absorption and nutrients and make sure you are always eating enough . If you have a shake with butters or protein powder then a tofu scramble your mixing your fruit with your fats and that messes up your digestion so it’s important to keep it simple and learn how to food combine properly it helps with absorption and elimination. You should be having a bowel movement after each meal and your stool should never be broken up or loose and if so try to be better about the food combining wait a an hour or two before eating high fats or veggies after fruit since I’ve done this my digestion has never ever been this good .
