This weekend and following week are going to be extremely stressful. My wife is currently in the air flying back... we haven't seen each other since July... it is bittersweet in getting to spend sometime together... we will be flying out to the Mayo Clinic tomorrow... as some of you already know, I have been dealing with a lot of stomach complications again. Of course I joined IG to share my success and encourage others but at the same time... as some of you know I have gone thru a lot of complications after weight loss surgery. That is the biggest reason I'm here... to help others... when we decide to have surgery, we are like freight trains... full steam straight ahead, jumping thru any hoops we have too to get the insurance approvals! Yeah, yeah we know there are risks but the alternative of staying where we are with our weight is like our feet staying planted in cement. I read some of the statistics and thought "none of that will happen to me" I was over the moon to have a chance at life and I was gonna take it! The fears of what could possibly happen stay in the back of our minds. Then my worst nightmares about this surgery became my reality. I didnt know anyone else at tht time tht had the surgery, so I felt alone and cursed. I learned how to become educated and how to ask my drs questions thru everything. I have multiple DM's about complications and I answer every single one. Update... on surgery things went extremely good!!! Best case scenario Dr said! They found the bands that we causing the obstructions and got em without cutting my bowel!! Whoo hoo!! I'm in a lot of pain, I have an incision from my breast bone, past my belly button... it's pretty wide too bc they cut all the scar tissue from last surgery... so now it's all just heal time! Already went for my 1st walk, haven't been up since surgery. I might of partied a little too hard after the Red Carpet celebration! LOL!! Now to rest and start this healing!!!
