It’s Monday and I needed to post something to give me a little motivation. I use to compare my weight loss to others and it became somewhat discouraging. I would always wonder what I was doing wrong and why I didn’t look as skinny as my fellow surgery friends. I finally discovered that it is because I was built differently then most of the people I followed and I finally embraced that I am THICC. I have curves in all the right places and hips and thighs for days and no matter how much I work out that will never change. I realized that to achieve what I want I have to have patience and continue to work hard. I fall off the wagon sometimes (I’m human) but as long as I get back on and keep pushing I’ll meet my goals. I remind myself that I have lost over 120 lbs and that was a huge accomplishment. This picture shows me just how far I’ve come and to never give up! I didn’t want to post these until I had lost 100 pounds but 93 is close enough. The day of my wedding (first picture) and the day my best friend @c_bri_p_o got married (second) I was a staggering 315 pounds. I was miserable!! I actually bought my wedding dress off amazon for 50 bucks because I couldn’t find one in the store I could afford that was also in my size. I have been SO emotional the past few days because I’ve only lost 2 pounds in 2 weeks and I feel like I’m a failure due to the standards I set for myself. For those of you asking, this is what happened to my stomach! On the left is a normal sized stomach. My surgeon went in and cut out 80% of it, pulled it out, and stapled the remaining 20%. For those asking “Why didn’t you just get lipo” Well, simply because for the amount of help and weight I needed to lose, lipo didn’t make sense for me. I wanted a tool I could use for the rest of my life, and that’s exactly what I got! Check this this out: How about the pic on the left was taken 07/15/18, which was 2 days before surgery and the picture on the right was taken yesterday...okay so no big deal right...well believe it or not but those are the EXACT SAME PANTS IN BOTH PICS!!! Whaaattt! Can you say Mind-Blown !!! Thank God for #spandex ! Lbvs! I really loved those pants and not only do they now fit as #palazzopants should, but I don’t have to get rid of them like so many of my other clothes when I was that size!
