Hello beauties as I was doing my daily check on the veggies and hand-pollinating the squash I realized I think we have finally come to the point that we are entirely self-sustainable with our fruits and vegetables!! We haven’t bought many fruits or veggies in quite some time but we do get a CSA delivery every two weeks. About a month ago I downsized our box and I think today is the day that I can officially cancel any further deliveries of fruits and veggies!!! I have dreamed of this moment for a very long time and am so proud of what we have built on this property. We are also getting 4 more chickens today to add to our little flock so you better believe we will have endless amounts of eggs at some point and will absolutely be sharing the fruits of our labor and love. Our newest little slice of heaven...this part of the home made me cringe every time I looked out the kitchen window (see pic #2). Now we have a little paradise among the oaks. I wanted the area to be a mini continuation of the garden full of roses for vases and citrus trees and milkweed for the butterflies and we got exactly that...plus the hot tub has been a dream to be in (I think Shane has used it at least once every single day already)...don’t know how we got so blessed to call this home our home #dreamhome #gratefuleveryday

Nature is absolutely amazing...we get rainbows in the clouds and rainbows in our veggies ...and this Swiss chard is the gift that keeps on giving! We love it in stir fry or just sautéed in garlic and butter and the chickens are loving it for snacks. It was one of the first things we planted in the garden and it continues to go strong through all the seasons giving us endless colorful greens...#rainbowchard #rainbow #neverendinggreens

And the second half of the garden is almost complete!!! Seriously though someone should pinch me because this must be a dream. We have worked so hard and put so much love into this space of the property and it has transpired into a little dream space. . . . This weekend we built the greenhouse which will house all my plant starts and be an extra space for growing. It was a hell of a chore to build but so thrilled with how it turned out. I think we will build two more beds and then just get to fill the beds with lots of well-loved fruits and veggies and lots of amazing gatherings in this space #dreamscometrue #lovethisspace #sograteful
