Last weekend Sonia & I drove up to Vermont where my friend & classmate from dental school Rachel now lives with her husband Bobby, her kids Maddie & Olivia, & her dog Wallace She’s running a public healthcare clinic & living on a beautiful property looking out at the mountains. There’s a dairy farm down the road & at her neighbors house you leave cash in a jar for fresh cuts of meat Solar panels fuel their little slice of heaven ☀️ It was so cool to see her life & her family. We both had exactly zero kids in dental school and now look at us! Haha. So proud of her & so happy to enjoy the comraderie only an old friend, classmate, & fellow mom can provide. Love you & the awesome life you two have made for yourselves! A quick 24 hour turnaround but totally worth it & cant wait to come back! ♥️

It is also the busiest time of year for animal rescue groups all over the country as we are asked to help with the dozens of orphaned litters, pregnant mothers and discarded breeding dogs being dumped at high kills shelters each day. Dogs like those listed above - a total of thirteen, 5.5 week old puppies found in a box and slated for euthanasia in a rural town down south. Or the two below, Eddie and Evie, moments away from being put down because so many rescues are already inundated with surrenders and simply had no room. Still others, like Sasha who sat in a small cage with her eight, 6 week old puppies desperate to survive. . As a rescue, we believe all animals deserve a chance at life but we we cannot do it alone. In the last three weeks, we have rescued 3 pregnant mothers, 36 underage orphaned puppies, a HW positive youngster and one very lucky momma with her eight beautiful babies. . Due to the generosity of our donors, we have been able to help in situations like this in the past BUT money is always running out.
