Today, I had a bilateral arm lift!! After losing almost 180 lbs (naturally) I was left with a lot of excess skin, and my arms were BY FAR the worst. I have spent years wearing jackets and long sleeves trying to hide these thangs, but now they’re GONE! It seems so surreal! I can finally lift weights and workout without my arms getting in the way. I can finally wear a tank top or bathing suit without people staring. I can finally fit my arms into normal clothes without stretching and pulling. Y’all have no idea. It’s my time. Transformation Tuesday! First off, I can’t even wrap my mind around these two photos. Like are they even the same person?! And second, never in my life did I ever see myself or my life where it is right now. This transformation has been bigger than I could have ever imagined. I have never felt so free, physically and mentally. I am just excited to truly live life to the fullest now! . . . Recovery update, I just got my last drain out! Hallelujah! Honestly, I’ve had like zero pain just discomfort as my incisions have been healing. I’ve been doing great and just taking it easy!

Ummmm what Such a difference!!!!! Day 8 post op. Arms are very swollen so can only get better from here as swelling decreases. I’ve been having a great recovery so far. Out of everything my left arm is the only thing bugging me a bit with nerve pain and numbness but when I look at this result I am not going to complain. When I first started thinking about getting #excessskinremoval it was all because of these arms. I wanted to be able to wear sleeveless tops and dresses and that just was not going to ever happen with those #tuckshopladyarms !!! Hi, this is Matt, Ashley’s boyfriend! Ashley’s surgery went well, and she’s currently recovering with jello, goldfish, and lots of naps. No photo from the operating room, but the nurse is going to help her take her dressing off in a little bit. Ashley says she’ll try to get a photo then. 4 weeks post-op and headed up to Breckenridge today for a week of fun in the mountains.. and it dawned on me that I haven’t updated y’all on these arms in a minute! In case I haven’t made it clear, through the wound infection (that is gone! ), the 2 little incision wounds (that are shrinking.. finally!) and all the things, my first excess skin surgery has still been SO incredibly worth it. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat and I’m not even healed yet. I am just so excited to get back to life in the next few weeks once I’m cleared by my surgeon and so happy and joy-filled to be on this side of the journey!
