Here I am, not at my lowest weight by a good 20-25 pounds. ✨But here I’m also proud of my body. ✨I’m not obsessing over a treat meal. ✨Not eating with no control. ✨Enjoying a snack here and there and not feeling guilty about it. ✨Taking rest days when I need them. ✨Not giving the number on the scale complete control of my thoughts and emotions. - This is healthy. It isn’t my HEALTHIEST, but it sure feels a lot better than an hour of cardio a day, worrying about leaving my house because “what can I eat?” all the while still hating my body for everything it isn’t. The second pic is my MOST shared transformation photo. I used to look at that last picture and wish I could get back to it. Looking at it now...I hate that picture. I look too thin in my opinion. I was doing too much cardio, not eating enough, obsessing (crazy obsessing, food and exercise controlled every thought), and I was still so unhappy. Sure I like how flat my stomach was, but I feel so much better now. I’m stronger and more in control and I’m so thankful because when I was that thin, I still wanted to lose 20 more pounds. I don’t think I ever would’ve been happy with my body. I’m glad I’ve experienced some regain because it has truly forced me to look at what I’m doing and how I’m allowed weight loss to completely control me. I’ve found my balance and I hope you all find the same.

About 11 months after that photo was taken I started my weight loss journey. 2 years after THAT I’m the healthiest and happiest I’ve ever been and I’m leaving a week from today to Hawaii to be pampered and spend a day at OPRAHS HOUSE Like it’s honestly SO insane to think about it. Don’t ever think you’re stuck where you are forever. We are ALL capable of change. I never thought in a MILLION years I would be here. Mind over Matter! Back then I used to get all kinds of comments of how I was an instructor and I "looked" the way that I did. It baffled people that I was so active and still was overweight. I promised myself a few things when I decided to become a fitness instructor was to keep going no matter what, to beat the odds and break the society mold that I too could be a fitness instructor no matter the size or how I looked, that should I ever know what it tastes, looks and feels like to be a thinner version that I will always remember that woman on the left. As I reflect back to those days and compare to now... So much has changed with me but one thing that wont change is my heart and love for what I do and who I do it for. everything is what it should be. My focus lately has just been doing my part. I know if I do what I have to do everything will fall into place & it has been. faith without works is dead so I’ve dedicated my time to working at my goals.
