Some days I find myself worrying, or feeling anxious. Thinking about the future and often feeling like life is short and there are so many things that “I must get done” or “check off “ my list. So I’ve made a conscious effort to take note more often of Scouts approach to life. One of the biggest things I learn from Scout “He lives for today. He lives in the moment. That's all that exists to him. He just focuses on the essentials: eating, drinking, sleeping, going potty and getting his next treat! Their lives are so much shorter than ours, and yet they have it figured out and in turn have a lot more fun than we do. Meanwhile, we’re checking off that “to-do” list. We focus on what should be, not what is, without wondering why. We often fail to check in with ourself and ask, is this what we want “to-do” vs “should-do”! So today, this Monday morning, I challenge you take a moment out, take your pup for a walk, take them to the park, to the river or to fetch a ball. We spent Saturday morning canoeing down Big River - Samson did not like the water but Calvin couldn’t get enough. He swam along the canoe as long as we would let him. We had to force him to get back into the boat for breaks.
