I realised today I’d never shared the third quilt I gifted a couple of weeks ago so here it is. Gypsy Wife, (amazing) pattern by @jenkingwell. The quilt top was pieced during a sewalong run by @gnomeangel in late 2017/early 2018. Fabrics were just from my stash and some from @karran_quilts stash! Backing is a shot cotton from Spotlight and I quilted it on my domestic machine. This quilt has been taken over to a very dear friend in America. She’s retiring this year and has been doing up a house in the country to live in permanently so this will be a joint retirement/house warming present. I am so excited to be giving this particular quilt to her because I know she will love it as much as I do, and more so because she is one of the most generous and genuine people I know and has done so much for me over the years. Can’t wait to see photos of it in her new house

The textiles district of Tel Aviv. ✂️ I’m sorry for the @fridaypatterncompany spam lately but damn, their patterns just get my shape. This is the #hughesdress and after wearing it around the city yesterday it’s quickly become and favourite pattern. I did and FBA, took it in 3cm in the side bodice seams and shortened the sleeves but otherwise it’s sewn as is. And it’s perfect. Those little pockets (see image 2) are the cutest. Also - sorry from the blown out full length image - the sun here is strong . If you’re a pear or an hour glass shape and you don’t own/haven’t sewn this dress - what are you waiting for? That little corset at the back gives the best waist definition you could ever desire. Fabric is from @blackbirdfabrics. Highly recommend sewing this dress in rayon because it feels amazing when you walk. Buttons from @spotlightstores.

Whoa! I’ll sure stand out on the beach in these babies. Heading to the Northern Hemisphere tomorrow aka. SUMMER!!!! ☀️ Pattern is the #vernazzatwopiece from @fridaypatterncompany. Fabric from @blackbirdfabrics. I accidentally sewed the waistband on backwards and it’s staying that way until it annoys me, if ever. I used a different construction method than the one the pattern suggests. Has the same end look just doesn’t have the arm hole or neck line elastic meaning no visible zig-zag stitches. Also made the bottoms 2.5cm higher. Can’t wait to wear it
