It’s been another day full of meltdowns over this and that - like when boy twin broke his cereal bar, on purpose, then was distraught when it wouldn’t go back together again ‍♀️ You name it, we can melt down over it. I know this is totally normal nearly 2 year old behaviour, they can’t help it. But two of them at the same time is insane for me to deal with - twinsanity I’m calling it. The first picture here is on our way in to our local LLL breastfeeding group this morning. It was a really busy group today, probably not the best choice for their current mood, but I managed to chat a bit. It was particularly lovely to talk to a mum with a young baby about supplemental nursing systems, I always feel positive when I get to share our experiences and help others through it. It’s also good to be around others who are “still” breastfeeding toddlers - only another month and we will have reached the WHO recommended 2 years :) The FiSpi shorty wrap is breaking in well and I’m so pleased I got it. Today has been hard. It started at just after 4am. Boy twin just wouldn’t go back to sleep. Reminiscent of his brother who used to do exactly the same at this age. The twins had lots of meltdowns - tired, frustrated, annoying each other all the time - and having had not enough sleep (for months on end plus last night being particularly bad) I had very little patience to deal with it. And then they wouldn’t even nap! Ended up having a short one before school run. Some kind of crazy leap again no doubt. Completely insane with twins! We’ve been working hard on breaking the new wrap in. It held up well on back in school run tandems. Not quite as cushy on the shoulders as starmap, but rock solid and I think it’ll get softer over time linen can take a while to soften. It’s definitely a generous 5 as I managed a front/back tandem with just it, which felt more comfy than with my single weave linen blend (which is still for sale). Hoping tomorrow is a better day, this twin toddler parenting is another level. LINEN RS REVIEW I've had this lovely linen prototype ring sling for a couple weeks now. I'm really looking forward to these being released. Straight out the bag, the linen is slightly stiff, but this is to be expected with linen. The feel in hand is light and cool with a gentle texture. The fabric is thn and moves through the rings easily, there is no bulk. Its easy to adjust and hugs baby and you nice and snug. The length is generous, will be great for a ring sling back carry too if you wanted. I usually twist it and tuck it under baby or wrap it round the rings. The fabric is already softening up nicely, I gave it a nice steam and it felt lovely after that. Its so breathable and cool so will be the perfect option for the continued better weather. I normally stay away from light coloured wraps because I'm clumsy and have a dog and 5yd old, but I'm surprised we havent had any marks. Also the lighter colour complients the light sling. Did I mention it also has a pocket! A nice big pocket at the end of the tail! Perfect for small essentials. The white is just for the prototype, but I know you are going to like the colour options coming. There may even be a pre order of these ring slings! Are you hoping to get one? Elise had just vomited all over me, then decided to scream because she was hungry. ‍♀️ Oh the joys of cow’s milk protein allergy! I’m so glad we’ve got a diagnosis and some hypoallergenic milk now, though I’m wondering if it would be worth trying the next step up... We loved this Meh Dai so much that we bought our own! I can't believe how fast the last month has gone by... I started my blog and can't believe how well it's gone. I've had my blog posts in the local newspaper. My FB page has reached 9,000 people. I've had the opportunity to talk to local independent cafes and businesses about what they offer for families in sheffield and arranged some really fun things for my local parents meet up group (which is now a year old). I woke up this morning to one of my reviews being published in the newspaper, and I just feel so overwhelmed by the generosity and positive feedback from everyone around me and my local community. I am working so hard, every day. But I love it... I haven't felt this inspired for a long, long time. We have such busy months planned ahead and I couldn't be happier!
