Some serious Spanish and Italian flexing here. Tagged by @grillchirre for my five favorite horror releases but I slipped in an extra. ‍♂️ Focused my attention on companies I enjoy as well as the actual movie, supplements, and most of all presentation of the material. I was torn between Synapse Film’s SUSPIRIA (1977) and TENEBRAE (1982) LE steelbooks but chose the latter simply because the artwork on the Suspiria steelbook isn’t my cup of tea - you can’t fuck with this Tenebrae release. EYEBALL (1975) is a fantastic release from @88_films loaded with lobby cards, supplements, and a sleek slipcase. @mondomacabrousa always hits a home run with their LEs but THE BLOOD SPATTERED BRIDE (1972) is my favorite release they’ve done and that cover art is gorgeous. It comes with a booklet loaded with informative essays and audio commentary from @sammdeighan and the @diaboliquemagazine crew. @arrowvideo LE of CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD (1980) is truly a sight to behold as is the PIECES (1982) edition from @grindhousereleasing Last but certainly not least, THE BLIND DEAD COLLECTION from @blueundergroundfilms because it’s in a goddamn coffin case.
