Heavy bench singles this morning, 2.5kg away from my comp PB, followed by close grip and some reverse grip as this doesn't hurt my shoulder ! Paused triples out of the hole but for some reason again I naturally stop at the bottom! Old age again! All followed by a Spanish omelette with extra ham and cheese.....nothing to do with training but it was eaten faster than the Instagram upload!!

I am seriously considering turning to the dark side of sumo ! Left groin was hurting during conventional warm up so I started sumo and was pain free. Obviously I will need to give it a serious go with a proper bar, calibrated plates and coach @glenn.branch @alternationpt looking over me but I am tempted. Onto some strength work with squats 90% or 1RM so I did 4 sets of 5 @ 153kgs, contemplated a 5th set but my left shoulder was feeling wrecked. Other than that, they still feel pretty good. Hopefully something big will come of it
