Day2 of the 19th Annual Survival of the Creative Mind Conference in Taos, NM. ‘ ‘ORIGIN’ was our WORD this year. We were introduced to an amazing range of presentations from ‘Parametrics’ to ‘Beginning of Life’, ‘Intro to Graffiti’ to ‘Origin of Cubism’ and more!!!! Mind expanding, creative and critical thinking throughout the weekend, experimenting with multiple media in the Taos Art Museum and on the grounds of the Nicolai Fechin Home and Studio. We are richer every year for the extensive exposure to well-researched study material that our contributors and participants bring to the table. A truly EXHILARATING experience each and every year!!! It’s Monday and I’m SO excited over here! I’m literally counting down the days until @katschmoyer releases the 2018 dates and location for the @creativeatheartconference Last year I heard about Kat and this conference 3 DAYS before the details were revealed (talk about not much time to think on it!). This time last year I was so frustrated in my biz and was craving community and growth. I’m pretty sure I was the first one to register right at 8 pm Come August of last year, I had my doubts of why I even signed up and thinking I was so selfish for wanting to grow my dream career. But LET ME TELL YOU it was THE BEST thing to happen to me in my biz! Meeting the most awesome creatives, 3 days packed full of content, and building a foundation that would propel me into the next 5 months. And the result?! I’m now FULL TIME doing what I love!! God used Kat’s heart and sooo many other amazing people to speak to me that week and solidify things in me. So GIRL, mark it in your planner, phone calendar, wall calendar, and EVERYWHERE because you don’t want to miss this year’s deets and registration for Round 8! Oh my goodness gracious y'all, happy happy Friday! I hope you have all had such a wonderful week and have exciting plans for the weekend, whether you're relaxing at home or heading out to make some memories! We are going to the zoo for the first time with both littles so I have high hopes (and am praying we have no toddler meltdowns) that this is a good weekend!! Anyone have a friend on the internet that they haven't met in real life‍♀️ I love those moments when you meet someone you've been in community with online in real life! In many ways I'm very old fashioned and feel like in person interaction is still SUPER important when building a brand! I rememeber listening to @ronnebrown and @irregular_jess both mention the importance of scheduling time to get from behind the internet and MEET people in REAL LIFE!
