Tried two new things today. 1. I put a tiny crane in this D20. The bottom resin went in yesterday and hardened. It was mixed by hand (notice the bubbles). But the clear resin today I mixed with the mixing tip syringe and the rest of the D20 will be very clear I hope. 2. I used my very first alcohol ink in a D20 mold that had a very tiny dab of blue colorant already mixed in. I tried to mimic what I saw on a YouTube video about resin Petri dishes. Tomorrow should be very exciting indeed. . The Ring Around The Mold Top I was having trouble knowing exactly when the top of the mold was pushed in far enough. So, I added this ring around the outside of the Top Plug. The Lower Mold has a recess in the same shape. Now when I push the top down in, I know exactly when it is fully seated because it pops into place. Since there is a notch on the side of it, I know when it’s lined up and in far enough. Alignment is much much easier than it was before. I am thinking of adding this feature into all of the molds that I do. I especially want to thank @darkmoondice for her help in solving my silicone bubble problem. Double vacuuming works like a charm. .
