Angel was thrown away in the deadpile area when my friends and I were investigating a Ray-Mar Farms. This is a place which dumps mother and baby cows in the dumpster while they are still alive. When we found her, we knew we had to take her. Instead of helping us, the police arrested us and threw us in jail where we spent 12 hours in jail. I still have nightmares. I still feel so much pain because of this. I think of where Angel would have been if she was saved.

Dairy is marketed as a natural product to consumers and for consumers. It is natural.... for baby cows. It is natural that a female cows body produces milk for her baby to drink and for that milk to nurture their little bodies that are growing. There’s no difference here to any other animal on the planet including us. . What isn’t natural is that calves are taken away from their mothers and left confused, isolated and fed unnatural formula. Why? So our race can drink the milk that is created inside a mothers body of another species...for baby cows. Not only do we tear mothers and babies apart, we take away the natural process of a species. We take away any chance of bonding, love and closeness from these most beautiful and gentle animals. Males are slaughtered as babies. Babies forced into slaughterhouses, often carried in some form as their bodies are so young that they can’t even walk the dark trenches they are forced down. Babies bashed to death or stabbed, all because their little bodies will never grow to produce milk nor profit for this Industry. They are seen as wastage. All just for a moment of taste. . . Ice cream, milk, chocolate, cream.... the list is long and all are products of this process. If you buy, you are directly funding and supporting the practices of the dairy industry. The amazing thing is there are so many amazing alternatives available to us now. Alternatives that share kindness, compassion not only to our plate and to animals but also to our health and the planet.
